Modeling and Disturbance Compensation Sliding Mode Control for Solar Array Drive Assembly System

In this study, a dynamic model of solar array drive system that includes pair flexible arrays with central rigid shaft and permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) was developed, disturbance compensation sliding mode control (DCSMC) strategy proposed to realize the speed smoothing vibration suppression system. The continuous nonlinear equation derived from Hamilton’s principle, its linearized form combined boundary conditions obtain natural frequency global mode. design DCSMC based on assembly (SADA) electromechanical dynamics PMSM direct drive. An extended state observer (ESO) used estimate any disturbances, signal fed forward (SMC) varying gain saturation reaching law (VGSRL). To verify validity model, results were compared those obtained using commercial finite element software. numerical showed SADA outperformed traditional proportional–integral (PI) SMC systems.
